Unveiling the Objectives and Mechanisms of Chandrayaan-3's Mission

Updated: Nov 5, 2023

The moon mission send by ISRO has successfully landed on moon and have done its researchers and now after 14 days Chandrayaan-3 "Lander module" and "Rover module" is on sleeping mood.

Chandrayaan-3 A Big Success

As everyone knows Chandrayaan-3 sent by Indian Space Research Organization has successfully reached 70° South of the Moon.

We will know the instruments used in it and their targets, but first the introduction of Chandrayaan.

Chandrayaan will spend only one lunar day on the Moon, which is equal to 41 Earth days.

Chandrayaan will work for a total of 14 days on the moon because there are 14 days and 14 nights on the moon.

After that, his work will stop because energy is needed to work, which cannot be found at night.

Chandrayaan 3 how its work

Chandrayaan-3 is actually divided into 3 main parts.

  1. LANDER module

  2. ROVER module

  3. PROPULSION module

The Lander module is named "Vikram"

4 devices will work in it.

1.Ramba
2.Chasta
3.ILSA
4.LRA

1. RAMBA

RADIO Anatomy of Moon Hypersensitivity and Atmosphere.

With this instrument, rocks on the moon will be broken up with the help of a laser and the resulting case will be studied.

2. CHASTA

Chandra Surface Thermophysical Experiment

The temperature of the south pole of the moon will be measured through this instrument.

3. ILSA

Instrument lunar seismic activity

The name itself will tell us about the earthquakes on the moon, apart from that it will tell us more about the moon's crust and mantle.

4. LRA

Leser Retroreflector arroy

This is from NASA, through it we will know the actual location of Vikram (lander) from Earth.

Parts of Chandrayaan-3

  1. Lander module (Vikram)

  2. Rover module (pragyan)

  3. Propulsion module

Rover module

This module is named "Pregyan".

Two instruments work in it.

  • 1. LIBS

  • 2. APXS

Chadrayan 3

1. LIBS

Lander induce breakdown spectroscopy Analysis

This instrument will perform chemical analyses of the soil on the Moon and tell us what the soil is made of and what minerals it contains.

Spectroscopy

is used.

2. APXS

Alpha particle X-ray spectrometer

His work is the study of the stones on the moon, What are the stones made of and how are they made?

And their images will be captured by the land module.

...

Third part of Chandrayaan-3

PROPULSION MODULE

It doesn't have the name Bechare, meaning in Hindi, it doesn't have a name like the lander module and the rover module.

Well, that's his job, what can you do?

But his work is very important, so Chandrayaan-3 would have remained at every starting point.

Its task is to take Chandrayaan-3 out of Earth's orbit and send it to the Moon.

See how important it was..? 🙂

Yes, this is the Lander Module or Rover Module

It will not go down to the surface of the moon, but it will stay in the orbit of the moon above and help in communication and also guide about other readings. It will continue to orbit the moon for three to six months.

Besides that

PROPULSION MODULE

I have a device named,

First know the short name, short name

SHAPE

Spectro-polarimetry of habitable planet 🌍 Earth.

His work is the exploration of exoplanets in space.
