Earthquakes on the Moon

Chandrayaan-3 was launched by the Indian Space Research Organization on August 23, 2023, at 70 degrees south of the Moon, and a day after the launch, Chandrayaan-3 was checked on August 24 to see how it was performing. During the mission, it was checked whether there was any malfunction or not, and then on August 25, the rover module included in Chandrayaan-3 moved about eight meters away from the lander module and confirmed how far the roll module could go and What Obstacles It Will Face After the completion of this test, a top-mounted on the lander module called ILSA means

(Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity)

detected some vibrations on the surface of the Moon,

Earlier, ILSA had detected a vibration caused by a vibration module with a magnitude of 0.0191 units, but the magnitude of the vibration detected later

-0.1185 units, and was detected When ILSA detected this vibration, it was doubtful whether it occurred naturally on the surface of the Moon or was detected due to the lander module nearby. For confirmation, the result sent by ILSA was compared with the vibration caused by the lander module. It was revealed that the vibration with magnitude - 0.8115 units is the vibration of the lander module. was very different and this vibration happened only for a few seconds, so we know that there are earthquakes on the moon as well.
