False viral news about Chandaryan 3

Updated: Dec 12, 2023

Recently some false statements about Chandrayaan 3 are going viral, some of them are given below.

India faces disgrace in space India failed to make contact with Chandrayaan-3.

Chandrayaan-3 has gone missing from the Indian Space Research Organization.

More such baseless and false statements are going viral which have no truth and people are saying these things due to ignorance.

We know very well that the mission sent by India as Chandryan 3 was sent just for 14 days.

Chandrayaan 3 was sent to the moon to work on a lunar day, and a lunar day is equal to our 14 terrestrial days (according to Earth time)There are 14 days on the moon and 14 nights. Chandrayaan 3 was sent for 14 days so that during the lunar day the solar panels of Chandrayaan 3 would be charged and they would achieve their missions without any hindrance Chandrayaan has successfully achieved their targets.

Reason for putting on sleeping mode:

Due to the low budget, Chandrayaan 3 was not equipped to withstand the extremely low temperatures of the night, so as soon as the day period on the moon ended and the night began, the extremely low temperatures began. Due to this, the functions of Chandrayan 3 stopped and due to this Chandrayaan 3 was put on sleeping mode.

As night fell on the moon and the temperature began to drop, Chandrayaan-3 was put into sleep mode and it was hoped that the Chandrayaan-3's rover would return to work with sunlight after the next 14 days, it might be possible that the solar panels of the lander module will again start generating energy from the sunlight and it would have been possible for ISRO to connect with Chandrayaan once again, but this could not happen. It is not a sign of failure, but if it happened, it would have been lucky and if it did not happen, then the Indian Space Research Organization has not failed. They have achieved their targets and succeeded in their mission.
